REPORTS TO:       Senior Network Administrator/Analyst, Information Systems

1. Provide Tier 1 technical support by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and taking corrective action on desktop and laptop hardware and software issues in a Windows XP / Server 2003 environment.
2. Perform routine upgrades and modifications to hardware including deployment and configuration of new hardware, maintain old hardware, etc.
3. Recommend or create and use tools and utilities for improving efficiency in day-to-day tasks.
4. Will work independently and with minimal supervision, from a queue of service orders.
5. Must communicate to all levels of staff and individuals with various levels of computer skills regarding technical issues, progress and status of open service orders.
6. Meet the expectations of Northpointe Resources employee and follow all company policies and procedures.
7. The employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.

1. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
2. Ability to see accurately both near and far
3. Ability to walk, bend, twist, kneel, and stoop
4. Ability to accurately manipulate small objects accurately using fine motor skills
5. Ability to drive to various locations as needed, adapting to various weather conditions

• 1-2 years of relevant computer experience in the following:
  
  • Windows XP issue troubleshooting
  • Hardware installation and repair
  • Networking
• Helpful (but not required):
  
  • Linux experience
  • A+ certification
  • Programming/Scripting experience
• Work in a variety of environments
• Valid driver’s license and use of your own car
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and verbal skills
