POSITION: QMHP (Part-Time/Exempt)
REPORTS TO: Senior VP of Vocational Services
JOB SUMMARY: To provide clinical oversight/support of the PSR Program and mental health services provided to individuals receiving services through NorthPointe’s PSR program. Coordinates services with the LPHA, PSR Coordinator and MHP’s.
HOURS: 20 hours per week with on-site availability
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinates with the NorthPointe PSR Coordinator to conduct clinical review of individuals receiving services through the PSR program.
2. Ensures compliance with CARF and DHS/OMH standards regarding medical necessity and completion of clinical records in compliance with Rule 132.
3. Provides crisis intervention, behavior management and counseling as needed.
4. Conducts and/or assists with psychosocial rehabilitation groups/classes and transition groups as requested by the PSR Coordinator.
5. Coordinates and conducts mental health assessments and reviews clinical findings with individuals and relevant PSR staff.
6. Provides clinical oversight of the Treatment Plan in union with the LPHA and PSR Coordinator.
7. Reviews treatment plans, goals and objectives to ensure medical necessity and compliance with Rule 132.
8. Provides clinical support to the program and individuals as requested by the PSR coordinator or as determined necessary by the treatment plan.
9. The employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.
PHYSICAL & VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see accurately both near and far
- Ability to walk, bend, twist, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to accurately manipulate small objects accurately using fine motor skills
- Ability to drive to various locations as needed, adapting to various weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy or related field preferred.
- Successful completion of a practicum and/or internship that includes a minimum of 1,000 hours under the supervision of a QMHP preferred.
- Mental health professional (MHP) eligibility required.
- Valid and acceptable driving record
- One year of supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer knowledge preferred.
