REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
JOB SUMMARY: To provide maintenance support for the agency, residential homes, the grounds of the agency and residences, and agency equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists Maintenance department with maintenance of the agency, residential homes and all grounds associated with agency property. This includes basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry duties, as well as snow removal and routine landscaping of grounds.
- Transports clients to and from the agency using an agency vehicle.
- Ensures safety of persons being transported
- Picks up/transports equipment and products to be used in subcontract work
- Ensures the safety of all clients under his/her supervision and maintains agency vehicles in a safe and fully functioning manner.
- Attends all mandatory training
- The employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer’s business needs.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- May be required to act as back-up delivery or van driver when required
- May be required to work flex hours as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required required
- Valid and acceptable driving record
- One year of general maintenance experience preferred
- Related technical training or certification preferred
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or mental illness preferred
